📄 Editorial Review

Colossus Cloud (by A+ Hosting, Inc., dba ServerPoint.com) is an IaaS-focused provider founded in 1998. They own and manage a large portion of their infrastructure and augment it with select partners. The platform emphasizes reliability and performance: SSD-based CEPH storage, enterprise hypervisors with multiple layers of redundancy, and network designs using MLAG/MC-LAG/vLAG to fail over instantly if a path drops. Their client portal is purpose-built to make provisioning straightforward and fast.
VPS / Cloud servers (Linux & Windows). These are the core offering. Instances are SSD-backed on CEPH, provision in minutes, and ship with two NICs (public IP + private IP/subnet) to support low-latency inter-VM traffic for data-heavy stacks (e.g., Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop). A private network, snapshot/backups, and an "Update Central" feature (bulk OS patching) are available. OS images span current Windows Server versions and major Linux distributions (AlmaLinux, Rocky, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS 7), with optional cPanel auto-install for traditional hosting workflows.
Dedicated / Bare-metal. Bare-metal servers run on their cloud network with Intel Scalable processors and dual 10 Gbps fiber uplinks. They promote the ScalableXn network fabric (multi-terabit capable) to support high east-west throughput for software-defined and storage workloads (e.g., Ceph, MinIO, Hadoop). cPanel + CloudLinux are offered for web hosting use cases, and they will install hypervisors if you’re building your own virtualization layer.
What’s not offered. They do not sell shared hosting. The portfolio is aimed at teams that want full control over compute—developers, SaaS, agencies, and enterprises that prefer VPS and bare-metal.
💰 Price & Cost
Pricing is positioned at standard market rates for VPS and dedicated. Accounts are typically funded and billed from balance (hourly consumption), with credit card and PayPal supported; auto top-up is available.
Money-back / refunds. Marketing for ColossusCloud advertises a 14-day money-back on VPS/Cloud ("try us risk-free"). More broadly under the ServerPoint brand, a 30-day money-back applies only to shared hosting (not relevant here). For service interruptions, remedies are via SLA service credits, not cash refunds.
🏢 Data Center
They are headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, and operate across six regions:
- North America: Las Vegas (NV), Dallas (TX), Ashburn (VA), Silicon Valley / Santa Clara (CA)
- Europe: Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Asia: Singapore
Facilities use multiple 10/40 Gbps uplinks and a multi-terabit backbone for redundancy. Dedicated servers in Las Vegas are positioned as benefiting from the region’s low natural-disaster risk.
Uptime / SLA. They publicly target 99.9% uptime and back incidents with SLA credits (credit is the sole remedy). Some materials emphasize "highest uptime" without a published numeric SLA per-offer; treat the 99.9% as the practical target rather than a detailed, credit-tiered SLA disclosure.
✍️ Customer Support
Support is 24/7/365 via the ticket system, with sales/contact forms and abuse/reporting channels. They stress in-house staff (no outsourcing) and fast responses (often under 30 minutes). They are reachable on major social platforms; documentation and the portal provide self-service functions like reboots, rDNS, resource usage, and backup/restore.
🔨 Control Panel
Core management is through the ColossusCloud Client Portal (their own console) to deploy/manage Linux/Windows VMs, backups, networking, and OS updates (Update Central). For hosted stacks, cPanel can be auto-installed on Linux VPS; Plesk is also supported. CloudLinux, WHMCS, and other common hosting tools are available as licensed add-ons.
🎯 Conclusion
ColossusCloud is a solid fit if you want performance-oriented VPS or bare-metal with multi-region options, SSD/CEPH storage, private networking, and a hands-on portal that streamlines lifecycle management (including one-click OS updates). The network story (dual 10 Gbps on dedicated, multi-terabit fabric) and cPanel/CloudLinux options make it attractive for agencies and providers consolidating onto their own stack.Trade-offs: there is no shared hosting, the money-back window is modest and applies to cloud/VPS only, and the SLA is framed around credits rather than a detailed, public credit schedule. If you need entry-level shared hosting or a contract with granular SLA penalties, they may not be ideal. For teams comfortable managing servers—and wanting reliable IaaS with good tooling—they are a strong, pragmatic choice.

😠 They lack of transparency, professionalism and respect. Peter from technical support will talk to you like you are the problem. They will never assume their fault when a problem occurs. They will not give any explanation on what happened if something goes wrong with their network. Since I am their customer I've noticed random restarts on my service. Better stay away!
