😠 We have now been without email for nearly 3 days now. We have called & left messages numerous times. We have not heard back from these calls yet. I did finally get someone to answer and requested a manager which I got and he told me that he couldn't help us and that we needed to call yet another division and leave a message. This is unacceptable on so many levels. I asked for yet another supervisors # and was told that it was against their policy to give out their #'s or emails. We have used them for around 10 years. That will be ending very soon. Beware of this horrible company.

😞 Support went from good to worst
I have 8 domains, 2 webhosting packages and 3 email hosting packages with DOTEarth. They promote their 24/7 hosting support but that is strictly for hosting i.e. help you make email or webpage changes. Even at that, the talent has limited capability and has actually created more problems than they corrected. The real dissatisfaction is with the actual Domian support i.e. modifying DNS, Forwarding, Settings, information, Etc. It is impossible to speak to support personnel and email responses take days. When they finally do respond it is via intermittent emails at 2am. You will be frustrated beyond belief and there is nothing you can do. Not only do I not recommend DOTEarth, I warn against it. They have changed.

😉 I have used them for a year now and have had few problems. They do however have at least one persnickety - rude "customer service" rep. She has to be the same one that is rude on the email also, since it takes a while to get someone to help you. That aspect is very disappointing.

😉 Great results, but not for the rank amatuer
I began hosting my domain with DotEarth in November of 2003. The price I've paid, at a 2 year renewal rate has been $25, and I've renewed with them each time because I've never had a problem with their registar services.
That said, I *only* use DotEarth for their registar services, and nothing more. I've always either hosted my own DNS, Mail, Webservers, etc, or farmed out the DNS portion to a 3rd party. I work as a network support analyst in state government, so I know more than enough to take care of these tasks without requiring, nor desiring the types of templates provided by most registars/hosting providers. Now, for the average consumer, I would not necessarily recommend DotEarth simply because the average consumer may require a lot more from their provider than what I do. But, if you are an IT professional or technically savvy enough that you don't require anything beyond the ability to setup your whois info as well as primary/secondary DNS server records, then you [read more...]
