😠 Alert: Predatory Billing for Transferred Domains - A Cautionary Tale
I feel compelled to share my recent experience with this company to caution potential future clients about their practices. I encountered an issue where I requested a refund for a domain renewal after transferring the domain, only to be met with a rigid and unsympathetic response. Despite multiple notifications regarding the domain’s expiration and the renewal fees being charged until 03/27/2026, the company flatly refused any form of refund, citing their policy.
What’s more disheartening is the lack of understanding and flexibility in their customer service. The cost of their services is significantly higher compared to other providers in the market, which one might justify if paired with superior service or customer care. Unfortunately, that is not the case here.
Their strict adherence to policy without room for customer circumstances, combined with premium pricing, does not equate to value for money. This experience has been not only frustrating but also eye-opening, and I [read more...]

😉 Someone hasn’t done their homework
Someone clearly has not done enough homework to know that BulkRegister*com and eNom ARE ONE AND THE SAME! Nearly a decade ago eNom acquired BulkRegister*com. Then, soon thereafter, the whole enchilada was acquired by Canadian Domain Power TuCows. This review should be copied and pasted into the “other” Host/Domain Registrar/Website Development Software and Services provider, etc. I SHOULD KNOW.... I have been a customer (first joining when BulkRegister came calling on me to sign up with them) in 1998, when they were new and THREE YEARS AFTER I had begun acquiring what would eventually become thousands of strong Domains. It always worries me when someone claims Expertise and to be an authority on a subject like this CLEARLY without knowing the facts THAT THEY ARE DISSEMINATING TO YOU (and me!). I don’t ever like to point out ANY negatives about anyone else OR about their work, BUT in the interest of protecting and properly informing YOU, the reader here and the customer or [read more...]

🔃 Enom is part of Tucows(3*) 🔧 Services: Domain Registration ICANN registrar
⇔ Redirected domains: name-services.com superhostingdeals.com domainallies.com 2100.com inethosts.com beyonddomains.net bulkregister.com beyonddomains.com
eNom (est. 1997 by Paul Stahura ) operates primarily as a wholesale, white-label reseller platform for domains, email, and SSL certificates. Instead of competing with resellers, they stay in the background while partners (hosting companies, website builders, agencies, and service providers) sell these products under their own brand. The platform footprint is sizable, with millions of domains under management, tens of thousands of resellers, and customers served across 150+ countries. In January 2017, the company was acquired by Tucows for US$83.5 million.
Domains (registrations, transfers, and portfolio management)
For domain sales, eNom supports a large catalog of extensions (hundreds of TLDs, including country and niche options). Day-to-day operations can be handled in the eNom Control Panel with bulk tools, or automated through the API for tighter integration into a registrar/hosting storefront. Domain operations also include operational conveniences such as renewal notices and auto-renew workflows, which helps reduce the risk of accidental expirations and the downstream site/email disruption that can follow.
DNS Hosting and domain security add-ons
They bundle DNS hosting with domains registered through eNom, and also offer DNS hosting for domains registered elsewhere. DNS management covers common record types (A, CNAME, MX, TXT/SPF), and they support DNSSEC as an extra layer against DNS tampering and domain hijacking. For registrant privacy needs, they offer WHOIS Domain Privacy as a paid add-on.
Email hosting for resellers
eNom’s email product is designed as a low-cost mailbox service for resellers who want to attach business email to domains without operating their own mail infrastructure. Mailboxes are offered in multiple sizes, include a modern webmail experience, and support standard mail access methods (IMAP/POP). They also include operational controls for provisioning/suspending mailboxes via the Control Panel or API, plus practical deliverability features such as spam/virus filtering and abuse handling.
SSL certificates for customer site security
On SSL, they provide a curated catalog of certificates across common validation levels (DV, OV, EV) and popular formats like Wildcard and SAN certificates. This setup is useful for resellers that need a clean security upsell path—from basic HTTPS encryption through higher-assurance certificates for transactional or data-sensitive sites.
Integrations for hosting providers and SaaS platforms
For businesses already running a hosting stack, eNom supports integration via WHMCS, cPanel, Plesk, and Clientexec, enabling a single operational flow for domains and related services. For partners who want a lighter lift, eNom also sits within the wider Tucows ecosystem, including programs such as Hover Connect (domain purchase + DNS connection flow) and an alternative branded storefront path via the OpenSRS Storefront offering.
Based on historical product snapshots, eNom previously offered shared hosting (as of June 2020), but this service is no longer available in 2026.
Their Linux email portfolio also reflects a clear repositioning. Older tiers structured around mailbox counts (for example, 1 email, 10 emails, and 25 emails) have been rebranded into storage-based packages, such as 10GB, 25GB, and 50GB. This shift suggests a move away from user-count segmentation toward a capacity-oriented model that is simpler to communicate and aligns more directly with storage consumption.
💰 Price & Cost
Pricing is primarily expressed in USD and structured for resellers who need flexibility as they grow.
- Reseller pricing plans: eNom uses tiered reseller plans with minimum-volume/annual-spend thresholds for higher tiers, alongside a one-time enrollment fee for onboarding.
- DNS hosting: included at no charge for domains registered through eNom; for external domains, DNS hosting is priced on an annual basis.
- Email hosting: mailbox pricing is per mailbox per year, with clearly defined storage tiers (10 GB / 25 GB / 50 GB) and optional volume discounts for larger resellers.
- WHOIS privacy: offered as a per-domain annual add-on.
- Payments for reseller accounts: funding/refill options include credit card, PayPal, and ACH/Wire Transfer (where applicable), with orders generally deducted from the reseller account balance.
No broad, hosting-style money-back guarantee is presented as a standard feature for the overall platform, which is common for domain/registry-driven services where lifecycle events and third-party registry rules can affect reversals.
🏢 Data Center
eNom does not provide a straightforward "data center locations list" in the same way a classic VPS or dedicated server provider would. Operationally, they run the service as a large-scale domain and related-services platform with security monitoring and 24/7 operational coverage, and they maintain organizational presence across North America (including teams in Bellevue, Washington and Toronto, Canada, with support based in Ontario).
Uptime guarantee: an explicit uptime percentage or SLA figure is not stated as a simple public headline for the overall platform. Instead, they emphasize continuous monitoring, security operations, and availability-oriented service practices across DNS, email, and automation services.
✍️ Customer Support
Customer support is a major part of the package, including 24/7 support with a Canada-based team. Support is available through online support resources (help/support centers) and phone contacts (including sales and technical support lines). For abuse and security issues, they maintain an in-house abuse capability and structured reporting paths for domain-related complaints such as spam, phishing, and unsolicited email.
🔨 Control Panel
Management is centered on the eNom Control Panel, designed for handling large portfolios efficiently through bulk actions and fast workflows. For deeper automation, the eNom API provides 300+ commands, including domain, SSL, and email operations, with a separate testing environment for integration work. For hosting companies and SaaS platforms, integrations with WHMCS, cPanel, Plesk, and Clientexec help keep domain services and customer billing/provisioning in one place.
🎯 Conclusion
eNom is best evaluated as an enablement platform rather than a traditional hosting provider. Their strongest fit is for businesses that need white-label domain sales, DNS management, affordable mailbox hosting, and SSL upsells integrated into an existing storefront or hosting stack. The combination of Control Panel + API, broad TLD availability, and support coverage makes the platform practical for scaling domain services alongside hosting or digital agency offerings.Given that WHTop has monitored providers such as eNom since 2004, the long-term record suggests that they have experienced a substantial erosion of both customer base and overall business volume over time. This decline appears closely linked to intensified competition within the domain-services segment, particularly from challengers such as NameSilo, Dynadot and Porkbun, which have continued to strengthen their positioning and attract price- and value-sensitive customers.

😠 Thieves. They sold me a $107 service that I didn't need as a requirement for activating a domain. Unbelievable they can get away with this.

😠 ENOM has the worst customer service - never again!
ENOM customer service personnel are condescending and stunningly unhelpful. I needed help to deal with an expired domain name and got a phone number that doesn't work and an rep who hung up on me.

😠 10 years of service -- now they are crap.
I've been with Enom for about 10 years. The service has gone into the toilet in the last 2-3 years.
Web hosting is a giant pain, now their DNS mail forwarding has crapped out and it has taken two phone calls and nearly 24 hours to just get the ticket ASSIGNED -- this is a COMPLETE OUTAGE and I can't get the ticket ASSIGNED.
Going elsewhere... SOON.

😠 NOTE: email with hosted web is only 100MB
I registered with enom.com, but found out after I bought the medium hosting package that each email account is only 100 MB. I did not need 100 mail accounts but 2, however they cant move the rest of the 9800MB to these two accounts, so you are stuck with a small email package. To add to it costs a fortune as you have to add to all the 100 mail accounts.
Note that how many MB you have is not known before you buy the package. Then you see you are stuck.

😠 Thieves abound here
Login policies kept changing. Every time I went to my site to do anything I had to submit a new ticket to access my web site.
They would not let me cancel, kept trying to rack up fees on my card. Every time I completed a cancellation step they either said it was wrong or sent me new pages to submit. Sometimes they asked for info they never supplied - everything was a hassle. I finally had to contact the credit card company and block them. Customer service is non-existent.
Avoid them at all costs.

😠 Worst Support Ever!
This by far has been the worst host I've ever used. Poor customer phone support. When you call in with a tech problem they just tell you to go online and open a ticket because they aren't able to open one for you... (WTF?) I've worked for a company that hosted domains and part of our job was opening tickets for customers I don't understand how it is not your job as a support agent to open a ticket for your customers.
Everything that could go wrong did go wrong for me. All processes were long and drawn out which made it difficult and frustrating. Most of which the end user should have never seen or had to deal with.
I've hung up on them with tears of frustration because their support is so pigheaded and lazy.
My domain is mainly a webstore using Zencart and enom had filters in place where I wasn't able to run any scripts from my admin panel or let me make a back up of my database through myphp . They also didn't offer any tools for something similar in their woefully sad [read more...]

I m sorry but its true this company is hoarding domains.
Never rely on enom.com
My domain sahilonline.com they did not renew on time
and when i wanted to tranfer, they did not provide me
the auth code also.
After few days they sent me an email asking me to pay USD 280 to renew it.
I denied to pay. Now this domain is still hoarding by enom.
Many customers like me have lost their domains.
Never buy from enom or bulkdomains.com

😠 These people are pathetic. WORST customer service I've had in decades. I had a rep actually hang up on me the other day. I called back to talk to a supervisor to be told several times (several days in a row) that they were busy and unavailable.
The rep told me today "what? do you expect the manager to stop whatever important thing they are doing just to talk to an upset customer??" YES!! YES I DO!! That's what they are there for!!
Your business is BASED on your customers. If you have an upset customer, that needs to be your NUMBER ONE priority!! They PAY YOUR PAYCHECKS!!
I am so upset I can hardly breathe. Shame is we have HUNDREDS of domains with them and I'm not interested in the headache it takes to move them... but am obviously going to have to take that on pretty soon from the way it's going.
Dang. I can't believe these people.

😠 I have my domain through an Enom reseller. As others have said - they will not release my domain. They are claiming they have not received the release order, but we have rejections sent by enom. Either they are lying or their reseller is lying. Since I am reading about the same troubles not connected to the reseller, I am inclined to think it is Enom. I cannot get a release from them of my domain and I am ready to hit every outlet possible to discourage other from doing business with them or their resellers. I dare Enom to have someone contact me directly.

Frustrated Enom Customer (donotsendmemail@d...)
😠 hosting with these people is a hit and miss (mostly miss if you do not know how to fix your own problems)
The settings in the plesk control panel sometimes will not work for sites with ssl certificates and if you rely on email from this system, you are subject to random down times. When you discover you are down, they will delay responding until you are just frustrated. Nobody answers the phone calls and then when they do, they have no knowledge.
Last month they changed the interface on plesk control panel. Of course this broke at least 4 of my websites. Getting them to check their settings is a fight in itself. The support personnel mak assumption that the problem is always on another person even if the site was working prior to their change. AND setting up a self-running site (one that reliably interacts with customers) is not advised here. The site will be working fine and then it will stop working for some unknow reason. (a change behind the scenes). Of course there is [read more...]

😠 I am personally disgusted with enom.com's staff and lack of support/customer service. Very similar situation with the user who posted above. I submit a ticket to the "support" dept., and I get an auto reply that someone will get back with me ASAP. B/S!!!! So, I submit another ticket, and another, and another in hope for a HUMAN response. Nope. It goes ignored. I call and I get an answering machine. I email DANIEL HART directly (the contact name under the Admin contact info when you do a whois.com lookup) and still, no reply.
To make a long story short, my issue is the same as the above user. This host REFUSES to let go of the control of our domains, which we are trying to transfer. They won't reply to our emails regarding authorization codes which are needed in order to complete a domain transfer and it's sad, very sad. I hope it all comes back to bite them in the ass!

😠 Signed up with eNom hosting.
Didn't meet what the sales people said it would.
Called and asked to drop the account.
They hit my credit card.
Called again. Was told sorry and to submit a ticket.
Got billed the next month.
Called and yelled.
Did a charge back.
They decided they owned my domain names.
They would not allow movement of them.
They are thieves in my opinion.
Avoid them at all costs
