😠 Premium domain bait-and-switch and unilateral refund

I attempted to register a 3-letter .ke domain (myc.ke) through Truehost. Their website showed a price of 3,000 KES, I completed checkout, was invoiced (including VAT and an AutoPay discount), and received confirmation that the registration was in progress.

Only afterward did Truehost and the .ke registry (KeNIC) claim the name was a “reserved premium” domain with a vastly higher reserve price. Instead of honoring the completed transaction or clearly explaining the situation up front, Truehost eventually processed a refund **without my request or consent** and I lost the domain.

The core issues for me were:
- No clear premium pricing warning before payment.
- Acceptance of payment and issuance of an invoice as if everything was normal.
- Conflicting communication about whether the domain would be activated.
- A unilateral refund that effectively cancelled the deal after I had relied on their system and [read more...]

😠 Don't try this!

This is the worst web host reseller agent , they have slowest servers, unresponsive staff. Once you contact their support after a server failure, they block your hosting account and claim you have broken their terms and whatever conditions. They steal your source codes and request you to explain to them certain line in code.

They never refund your money.

My advise: don't waste your time in this, look for a more reliable service elsewhere.

😠 Don't bother with these scam artists who are also inefficient. They even refuse to answer questions in the chat. Service was not delivered yet they took money. I requested refund the next day, they refused. also server is slow and keeps crashing after every 5 minutes. This is like stone age hosting service that gets by because they host 1 or 2 one page websites that rarely gets any visitor traffic.

server was misconfigured at the start. Then I was unable to get prompt service to fix it. Then days later when it was setup properly, I discovered the network speeds were so slow as to make thet service unusable.
Cancelling my account also received no response from their support desk.

😠 I am greatly dissatisfied with truehost.com services. Their customer care skills are horrible, and I doubt their technical team has any technical skills. The only advise they seem to give to any technical problem is upgrade to gold! Further, the silver hosting package seems to have a problem with python that they have refused to sort out and at the same time they have not indicated this in the package details. At the same time they have secret clauses to their 30 day money back guarantee that isn't disclosed, why call it a money back guarantee? For me, their services have been a total waste of time and money.

Honest opinion, they are the best company ever. For a startup to be able to thrive on the internet a good hosting provider is key. I have been using truehost for over a year now and their support is quick and precise and lets not forget very professional. They go out of their way to make sure the nornal running operations of my website are not affected.
Their speeds are also quick
I remember having a hard time using cron jobs and Wallace helped with the assistance I needed quickly. They are also affordable making them my only solutions for hosting my site and even multiple other sites in the future.

Server acts as our mail server, our web server on which our web is hosted. a fully managed service that we really do know how and what it require to run. over two year on yearly plan and we cannot think of better service that what we are receiving - kudos truehost kenya

I wish to confirm that truehost uptime is wanting, the next day your website is running and in a few days it is offline or has been hacked, the servers are not secure in anyway. i think you are doing try and error and you have no time with background security. please shy a way from this host before you regret the next day.
