😃 17 year customer, these guys have been excellent. Have there been outages in 17 years? Yes, of course, but they always reported why and what steps they were taking to prevent the same outage in future. That's the way everyone should do hosting!
Actual uptime has been 99.95% per year, which is very respectable. Most outages have been UPS-related.
That was true up until the last 4 days. We've had 2 unplanned 5+ hour powerfails and they won't even admit they are happening, despite presenting hard evidence (SMART logs show power-on hours for the drives, syslog with raid controller reporting unsafe shutdown... hello this is not rocket science people). That drags them down to a little under 99.88% for the last 365 days. That's still not terrible given that's the worst year we've had with them in 17 years.
If not for the last 4 days I would have rated them 10/10. Hopefully they get back to form sooner than later.

😠 Stingy company, only pays USD250-USD600/month for their level 1 and level 2 engineers (remote oversea workers, whereas the country rate for the same job is USD600-USD1500), the salary payment were always late. no benefits, no allowance whatsoever, 2+ years working with them and I still can't save some money because the yearly salary increase never exceed the inflation rate. they force their engineers to also work with their sub companies to handle lot of tickets and problems so don't be surprised if your server wont be handled in timely manner. only 3 tier-3 persons available (in US).
They also give the cheapest health insurance for their engineers ($20/month).
So, I quit this funny company and have better job now.

😠 WOWRACK and I entered into a shared hosting agreement in 2007-09. I finally cancelled completely and happily. Their uptime is about 95%, but that is the best of it.
Selling sites is crucial to a business like mine, and I gladly hosted sites free of charge for paying clients. Unfortunately, WOWRACK thought it was OK to contact my clients directly and upsell/oversell into MY accounts. This is a huge breach. I lost a $40,000/year account due to WOWRACK, and several other clients cancelled because once they became dependant on the site for their business, the site was DOWN. For HOURS. Then again. "We're upgrading". "New box." "DNS Denial Of Service attacks", etc. etc. Never again.
